Entries (RSS)BGW May Be Closed For Up To A Week
I just can’t seem to stay away from doctors and hospitals. I’ll be going in for a one or two day stay Monday the 29th for some minor surgery. The incision from my liver transplant from 3 years ago has come apart internally in my right side just below my ribs and must be repaired. As you can imagine I’m not too thrilled about that! You would think after 3 years of healing that you wouldn’t have to worry about such things but apparently not.
I know how it happened too, I was working out at the gym the morning of the day I noticed it. It doesn’t hurt much, just a bit sensitive but there’s the danger of an internal infection if I don’t get it fixed right away. It couldn’t hardly come at a worse time since I’m so backed up with blog design requests right now. Actually, when would it be a good time? LOL And this is after my doctors have urged me to get more exercise and lose a few pounds. This what I get for listening to doctors? I think it was all part of their evil plan to operate on me again. LOL
For the time being I won’t be taking on any new orders and I will try to finish up a couple that I’m currently working on before the day of the surgery. I’m not sure how I’ll be feeling and how much work I’ll be able to do, but I do know I can’t do any “physical” activity for at least 6 weeks afterwards to give it time to heal.
I’ll do an update here once I’m back at my desk full time again, until then wish me luck!

I found your website, was knocked out, thought o wow, hopefully we can work together, then read that you are feeling under the weather from an old liver transplant. I might be old enough to be your grandmother, but, here’s Dr. E’s cat advice for humans; humans have nine lives too. I have 4.5 left after various near misses. So do you have more than one life left, so hang in there dearie. Just remember what Mark Twain said, There’s nothing as wonderous as being shot at… and missed.
I will be praying for your complete recovery and when you are better, we can talk about your cool art.
